If you are planning to open a new investment account through eUnittrust, there is an important announcement to take note of.
A RM10 stamp duty will apply to each new account opening for cash investments through eUnittrust.

The RM10 stamp duty applies to each new cash investment account opening through eUnittrust, covering both:
The requirement also applies when an existing investor opens a new account under a different account holding structure.

Important to note: The RM10 stamp duty is applicable to each new account opening only. It will not be imposed on subsequent investments or transactions made under an existing account.
The RM10 stamp duty is imposed in accordance with the Stamp Act 1949 [Act 378], which governs the stamping of relevant account-opening documentation.
It is a statutory requirement and is not an administrative fee introduced by Phillip Mutual Berhad (PMB).
Although eUnittrust facilitates electronic account opening without requiring a physical account opening form, the RM10 stamp duty remains applicable to each new cash investment account opening.
When opening a new account through eUnittrust, the RM10 one-off stamp duty fee will be imposed along with your initial minimum investment.
As such, please ensure that your payment made is sufficient to cover the one-off stamp duty while maintaining the applicable minimum investment requirement.
Before proceeding with your investment, remember to account for the RM10 stamp duty to ensure that your remaining investment amount meets the required minimum.
If deducting the RM10 stamp duty causes your remaining investment amount to fall below the applicable minimum investment requirement, you will be given 14 calendar days to provide the required shortfall.
